Kailasgadchi Swari Mandir
This temple is a confluence of history, mythology and modern art. Located very close to the Palace theatre, this temple is a very attentive destination and a place of a belief for lakhs of devotees. Today’s massive structure is built in 1972. Black stone from Jotiba hill (Wadi Ratnagiri) was used for the restoration of this temple.
22 feet high lampstands measuring one and a half ton are major attractions. Unique and awesome oil paintings by famous painting artist G. Kamble are displayed here. Painting of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj recognized by the state government of Maharashtra is also displayed here.
कैलासगडची स्वारी मंदिर
ऐतिहासिक, पौराणिक अन् आधुनिक कलेचा त्रिवेणी संगम म्हणजे कैलासगडची स्वारी मंदीर. हे मंदीर पॅलेस थिएटर पासून अगदी हाकेच्या अंतरावर आहे. एक जागृत देवस्थान व लाखो भाविकांचे श्रद्धास्थान असलेल्या या मंदिराचा वेळोवेळी जीर्णोद्धार करण्यात आला आहे. आज असलेले भव्य दिव्य स्वरूप इ. स. 1972 साली देण्यात आले. जोतिबा डोंगर (वाडी रत्नागिरी) येथील काळा पाषाण यावेळी जीर्णोद्धारासाठी वापरला आहे.
दीड टन वजनाचे व 22 फूट उंचीचे पितळी दीपस्तंभ हे मंदिराचे आकर्षण ठरतात. प्रख्यात रंगकर्मी कलायोगी जी. कांबळे यांची अप्रतिम व रंगकलेचा अजोड नमुना असलेली तैलचित्रे इथे मांडण्यात आलेली आहेत. महाराष्ट्र शासनाने मान्यता दिलेले छ. शिवरायांचे अस्सल राजमान्य तैलचित्र येथेच आहे.
