The temple premises is covered with strong masonry walls. Along with the walls, there exist various famous and worshipful temples. Four main entrances exist for easy accessibility for citizens and pilgrims. There was enough place to rest for people visiting from other places. Broadly, the main temple premises is divided in following ways.
1. Garbha gruha (महालक्ष्मी गर्भगृह)
2. Antaraal (अंतराळ)
3. Mahakali (महाकाली)
4. Mahasaraswati (महासरस्वती)
5. Madhya Mandap / Kurm Mandap (मध्य मंडप / कूर्म मंडप)

Kiranotsav : A Phenomenal event : an Aggregation of nature and architecture

Kiranotsav is an Aggregation of nature and architecture. Rays of setting sun directly approaches to the idol of the goddess Mahalaxmi (Ambabai); situated too much garbhagruhainside .; at the center of the This happens twice a year. Firstly, on 31st January, 1st February and 2nd February and secondly on 9th, 10th & 11th November every year. As the sun travels during Dakshinayan & Uttarayan; culturally defined a period in between Makar Sankranti (on 14th January) and Kark Sankranti (on 16th July). Dakshinayana is derived from two Sanskrit words Dakshin (south) & Ayana (movement). Likewise, Uttarayana is Uttar (north) & Ayana (movement).
Relation between Sandhyamath & Mahalaxmi temple

Another surprising truth that came out recently is during Kiranotsav, the sunrays travels from above 'Sandhyamath', a historical structure located inside lake Rankala. It is located one and a half kilometers way from Mahalaxmi (Ambabai) temple.
